HOTEL AGUESOL is in the village of A Lama, 24 km from the city of Pontevedra and from the coastal area of the Rías Bajas estuaries, 40 km from Vigo and 80 km from Santiago de Compostela.
Recommended nearby sights: Sotomayor (Pedro Madrugal's Castle), Bayona (State-run luxury hotel, Monterreal Castle, marina), Tuy (cathedral and old city), La Guardia (Celtic hill fort and viewpoint on the Santa Tecla Mountain), El Rosal (famous for its vineyards). The north of Portugal also makes an interesting visit: Valença do Minho (walled medieval city, famous for its shopping area), Guimaraes, Braga and Viana do Castelo are some of the places to keep in mind.
We must not forget the city of Pontevedra (with a recently renovated old district, ideal for tapas and going out at night), Vigo (famous for its estuary, its beaches and its important commercial port, from you can take a boat to the Illas Atlánticas National Park), Cangas (with its famous Hío Cross and the point of Cape Home), Cambados (famous for its Albariño wine cellars), Villagarcía de Arosa, the Isle of Arosa, Sanjenjo (known for its beach area and nightlife) and El Grove (known for its seafood and the Isle of La Toja).
Further north, in the province of A Coruña, we highly recommend a visit to Santiago de Compostela (cathedral, old quarter, university campus), the fine city of A Coruña (with obligatory views of the Roman lighthouse called La Torre de Hércules, the House of Science, Domus House and the House of Fishes) and Finisterre (known as the "world's end", which was where the St James' Way pilgrims originally ended their pilgrimage).
The hotel offers the possibility to pursue a range of activities:
- Fishing.
- Kayaking and rafting (in Arbo, 50 km).
- Skydiving.
- Paragliding.
- Hunting.
- Horse riding.
- Quad biking (Soutelo, 20 km)..
We also collaborate with companies specializing in leisure and adventure activities in the countryside (such as hiking, horse riding routes, quad routes and rafting), an option that is increasingly popular with our clients.
